WhatsApp, the most popular instant messenger across the globe has now released the desktop version for Chrome Plugin, Android, Blackberry and Windows Services.
WhatsApp is currently most popular mobile chat application and company now wants to redefine the mobile messaging experience for both mobile phone users and also for desktops and laptops. To achieve this, it has released a plugin for the Chrome browser.
Now users of whats app finally get to use the app on their desktops. Despite the app not coming as a native app, at least users no longer have to depend on their mobile phones entirely to receive and send WhatsApp messages.
Now by using this plugin, users can chat simultaneously using their whatsapp account from their mobile phones, desktops, laptops and tablets. Surprisingly, this browser-based services is not available to Apple iPhone users due to some “limitations” as per company source. But this service is now available for Android, Blackberry, Nokia S60, and Windows phones.
But still its not something new launch as whatsapp competitor WeChat and Line already have such services and implemented it for some time. So its time that whatsapp has some catching up to do to make competition more tough in upcoming days.
